Edric Hwang is the mixer behind multiple chart-topping tracks on iTunes, Spotify and Apple Music. He has had the privilege of working with Grammy-award winning and Grammy-award nominated artistes and has also worked on music for China-Hollywood films. Edric works with many independent artistes as well as artistes from major labels such as Universal Music and Warner Music. He is also a signed writer to Universal Music Publishing
Edric is the mixer behind multiple chart-topping tracks in Singapore for artistes such as Falling Feathers (Warner Music), Hubert Ng (#1 Album iTunes), Jude Young (2x iTunes Top10 singles), Leon Markcus (#1 Album iTunes), Ciao Turtle (#3 Album iTunes), Reuby (#1 iTunes Single + Album), Derrick Hoh (Warner Music and MODE Entertainment), and MICappella (Universal Music).
He has also had the pleasure of working with international acts such as Grammy-award winning a cappella group Pentatonix, Grammy-nominated artist Hunter Hayes and also has credits on American Idol contestant Nate Tao’s EP, and American Vocal Pop group The Exchange’s EP.
Edric is currently the Director of Music Production at GRYD. GRYD is one of Singapore’s top music and audio production teams. The producers and engineers there have worked with Grammy-award winning artists, artists from major labels, as well as many chart-topping artists from Singapore and around the globe. They also have the privilege of working with international brands such as Marvel Studios, Universal Studios, Facebook, and MSI gaming. The team takes pride in working with young artists and film-makers, guiding them along to develop material that meets the quality and standards of the global market.
Edric graduated with a BSc Degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail University in Orlando FL, USA and has received several awards from the university. While at Full Sail, he has had the privilege to study under producers and engineers such as Jules Gondar (Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Carrie Underwood) and Darren Schneider (Deep Purple, Scorpions, Snow Patrol), as well as game audio designer Tom Todia (Sony, Electronic Arts).
While in the US, Edric has also work with producers and engineers such as David Mikeal (A&M Records, Parc Records) and Peter Thornton (Limp Bizkit, Paramore, Shinedown).
