Edric is a Producer and Songwriter who has worked with international acts such as NBC’s The Sing-Off winners Pentatonix, Grammy-nominated artist Hunter Hayes and also has credits on American Idol contestant Nate Tao’s EP, and American Vocal Pop group The Exchange’s EP.
He has also worked with chart-topping Singapore acts, such as Reuby (#1 iTunes Single + Album) and Derrick Hoh (Warner Music and MODE Entertainment), Hubert Ng (#1 Album iTunes), Jude Young (2x iTunes Top10 singles) and Ciao Turtle (#3 Album iTunes).
Edric started out at the School of Music and the Arts (SOMA), Singapore. After graduating, he was hired as the Studio Manager & Head Engineer of the school, where he managed and ran all aspects of the school’s production arm, as well as lecturing several modules for their programs. Besides that, he has also taught music production at several primary, secondary and tertiary institutions.
After leaving SOMA, Edric worked as a freelance audio engineer, continuing to refine his craft. He then proceeded to Full Sail University in Orlando FL, USA, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Recording Arts, at the same time receiving several awards from the university. While at Full Sail, he has had the privilege to study under great producers and engineers such as Jules Gondar (Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Carrie Underwood) and Darren Schneider (Deep Purple, Scorpions, Snow Patrol), as well as game audio designer Tom Todia (Sony, Electronic Arts).
While in the US, Edric worked at KDS Music Studios. This has given him the opportunity to work with great producers and engineers such as David Mikeal (A&M Records, Parc Records) and Peter Thornton (Limp Bizkit, Paramore, Shinedown).
